This lake offers alot of different types of fishing. Like perch, crappie, bass, catfish and not to forget stripers. You can fish on shore or get to those hard to reach spots by boat. But be aware that others use this lake for recreational sports also. There is a water landing spot for planes but i've never seen any come in. Storys have it that near the dam divers went down to the bottom and saw man size catfish. Sounds like one of those fish stories to me. Anyways there is a lot of coves to fish for largemouth bass, but be on the look out for crappie beds as you troll along. When you are done for the day anchor down and cast your line out hoping for the chance to wrestle a cat. Well good luck fishing and be safe. This lake is located with in several counties in south central Virginia. So of the lake is in North Carolina, dont worry your Va lic. is still good there. Clarksville Va is the center point of the lake and a good place for first time fisherman to start.
