I talked my dad into coming out fishing last night. We were gonna head to Jacobs pond in Norwell. With the storms coming through we ended up at Hobarts pond in Whitman. It started good when i had a huge blowup on a spro frog on my first cast. I pulled out 4 bass the first two were only about a pound then i picked up a 2.3lber. then when we were getting ready to leave i took one more cast and BOOM picked up a 4.25lb larry. Im glad i took that last cast. It was nice to teach my dad how to use baitcasters as well. He never liked them.

I went out last week to a little lake about 5 minutes down the street from my house. Not a lot of people fish here so its kinda nice I was down there with one of my buddies. I was throwing senkos and picked up a couple of smaller bass and a couple of pickerel. I switched to a spro bronze eye frog and picked up what id guess to be around a 2-2.5 lber i didnt bring my scale.

My cousin just moved in across the street from the lake and i was helping him move in. So of course i had to bring my rods with me was looking around at places all day when we were going back and forth and decided to hit this lil cove near lakeside ave. and it was a great idea i was using a watermelon powerworm with red flake. On my 3rd cast i pulled in about a 3lber everyone i was with was saying more but i always try to underweight the fish so i dont tell any "fishing stories". I only was down there for 25 min and pulled in 1 other bass and my brother in law got one on a babybass colored senko wacky rigged.

My dad had the morning off so i took him to my local honey hole. Hes never been to this lake before but always was interested in trying it out. He was using shiners and caught a really nice 3lb 4 oz bass. He doesnt get out much on freshwater anymore and said that it was prob the biggest bass he has caught in 4-5 years. He is strictly a striper fisherman now. I caught 3 different largemouths. Othing of great size but all between a lb and 1.75lbs. Caught two on a motoroil w/redflake powerworm and the biggest on a spro green and yellow bellied bronze eye frog.
