Went out 1 hour before high tide. Flounder fishing was really slow and the crabs kept stealing the sea worms. We weren't catching anything. Two hours after The high tide we ran out of sea worms so we switched to artificial Gulp red "bloodworms" and suddenly the flounder started biting. It was my first time using the Gulp worms and I was a skeptic until this afternoon! Not sure if it was the worms or the position of the tide but I am inclined to think it was a combination of the two.

Went out Sunday 5/25/14 in the boat to Salem Harbor via the Danvers River for some flounder fishing.
Anchored off the main channel on the river side of the Beverly-Salem bridge. Outgoing tide 15 ft of water
Used chum pot with clams, squid, fish scales.
Fished with high/low flounder rig with 3 oz weight on a three-way swivel.
Caught 6 keepers which made a great dinner that night once the fillets were battered and fried.
